The new playing hall for B Tournament (players with rating below 2000) is Old Casino – (Arad, Bd. Dragalina nr. 25-27)
Confirmation of presence – All players are required to confirm their presence at the game hall as follows:
- Tournament A – Sunday between 10 am and 2 pm at Continental Hotel – mezzanine floor – Vasile Goldis Hall
- Tournament B – Tuesday, August 5, between 11 am and 2 pm at the Old Casino (the new venue for this tournament)
Players who do not confirm their presence in person within the above time frame will not be drawn in the first round!
Players who have paid the participation fee (and also titled players who were exempted from paying the entry fee) and do not confirm their presence within the above time frame will not be included in the draw but will be granted a 1/2 bye if they report their presence by the end of the round!

Grand Prix Classic – Chess, Tradition, and More!
Right after the Brașov Grand Prix Classic, players have the chance to continue their chess journey at the Arad Grand Prix Classic, taking place from August 3-9. With a strong tradition and record-breaking participation in previous years, this tournament is a key stop on the Romania Grand Prix circuit, offering a competitive classical chess experience.
The event features two tournaments:
♟️ Main Tournament (2000+ Elo) – A high-level classical event providing opportunities for title norms and strong competition.
♟️ Tournament B (Under 2000 Elo) – A great opportunity for players of all levels to compete in a rewarding classical format.
With a dynamic format, an exciting competitive atmosphere, and a history of bringing together a large number of participants, Arad is the place to be for classical chess enthusiasts!
